OVERWORLD

The game that puts the players in control of a cube. Each player must choose a function and play three levels to reach their final goal: the Archave.

The app works as a multiplayer game, which is played by a group of three people. The game is connected to a console, which you’ll need to use to be able to move your character around. As a result of this, the phone screen cannot be used for this app.

Moreover, the console is attached to a phone case. This allows you to always be ready to start a new game with friends, family or strangers, who share your interest in retro games. CUUUBE has a collection of more than 15 retro games. These can be played after choosing, the category, the amount of lives and the version you want to play in.

GAMEPLAY

HOW TO USE THE CONSOLE + CONTROLS

The player needs to push the different hexagon shapes towards the outside to create an arrow shape pointing to outwards.

ROOMS AND LEVELS

The main house leads the way to the coin exchangers and the function machines, when inserting a coin. It also consists of a door, which can not be opened from the inside.



LEVEL 1 (orange): The first challenge is to successfully survive and reach the finish line.

LEVEL 2 (pink): The second challenge is also about surviving until the end of the level, as well as, collecting every coin you run into during the game.

LEVEL 3 (violet): The third challenge is set with a timer. The player must reach the finish line in a short amount of time.



The Archave is a combination of an arcade and an archive.
The arcade machines allow you to visit multiple websites you would find on the Wayback machine. There are three different categories of three different colors.

MACHINES

COIN EXCHANGERS:
The coin exchangers consist of two different machines. One machine is labelled with a minus sign and is used to send a coin to another player. The other machine is labelled with a plus sign and is used to receive or ask a coin from another player.

LADDERS AND OTHER OBJECTS

There are 7 dotted line ladders, which can not be used unless they’ve turned into solid. To turn a ladder into solid, the previous task has to be accomplished successfully. The ladder brings you to another task or level.





The door in the main house can only be opened from the outside. To open the door the player must achieve every level to reach the Archave. The elevator can be found next it, which will bring the players back to the main house by opening the door.

INSERT COIN:
The insert a coin machine is your entry ticket to the game. Press A to insert a coin and to turn the ladder into solid.

FUNCTION MACHINES:
The second category of machines are the function machines.

These are three different machines, each can only be used once and need to be completed to continue the game. Each player needs to choose one function: the version, the category or the amount of hearts. After every player made their choice, the app will combine all three choices and provide one game that consists of all three functions.
