The elevator it’s located in our building, which means inside.
The elevator it’s an interface for me, because it allows me to transport myself from the 1st to the
14th floor.
USER: People who are living in the building
SYSTEM: Electricity, Electronics
AFFECTION: The user may experience a faster way of getting upstairs
INTERACTION: The user must use the buttons in order to choose on which floor he/she would like to go.
(IM)MATERIAL PROPERTIES: Colour, metal, electric parts, plastic, transporting function, lighting




The metro it’s located in the city, which means both outside/inside.
The metro it’s an interface for me, because it allows me to transport myself from one place to another
USER: People who are living in the city and using public transportation
SYSTEM: Electricity, Electronics
AFFECTION: The user may experience a faster way of getting from point A to point B
INTERACTION: The user must enter the train, sit on his seat and wait until he/she is at the right destination
(IM)MATERIAL PROPERTIES: Colour, metal, electric parts, plastic, transporting function, lighting, socialising, travelling

NOTE: I’m taking a look into these specific two interfaces and I can find many similarities between them. Can we observe the train as an elevator with different functions?
